OurgoodFounder Maxime Dücker, passionate about yoga, travelling and the eco-conscious world decided to take on an adventure that led her to Rishikesh, India. In September 2018, she went to the capital of yoga and signed up to the 200-hours Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) course. For 28 days she went through a program of very intense practice and learning the basic theories of yoga.

But she also discovered what no one tells: the meaning of yoga today and the misalignment between the concept vs. the reality. Because the truth is that there is a lot of room to improve when it comes to sustainability, especially in what should be already an eco-conscious world. At the YTT she had a chance to observe the lack of awareness within the community. Without blame or criticism, she started conversations with peers, teachers and other people in the ashram. The intention of this eBook is to capture some of the most common pitfalls in terms of the yoga world and how much work left to do to bring it this consciousness to our environmental practice. Also in this eBook, the author covers some of the very basic theories of the Yoga lessons and what you should “expect” from a Yoga Teacher Training course.
