How much plastic would you save with an eco coffee cup?

Keep Cup. Design your coffee cup, design your eco lifestyle!

Sharing is caring!

You can answer yourself to that question with Keep Cup, as you will be able to track your impact! And what a beautiful feeling is to an eco coffee cup designed by you? Hundreds of options available, find the best match for you, and your buddies!

When running a café business is probably one of the easiest ways to realise how much volume of packaging and coffee cups waste you produce every day. The Forsyth brothers, founders of Keep Cup, asked themselves: “How much plastic would each person save with an eco coffee cup?”

When they realised the impact it could make in the environment; the founders started to look at the alternatives. But they observed they were not suitable enough for speciality coffees: ceramic mugs were heavy, breakable, needing to HEAT before filling. But also impossible to dose correctly with milk and coffee. Thermoses were bulky, unattractive. And the coffee shot had to be poured into the thermos destroying the cream.

For all these reasons, the alternatives hadn’t won the hearts of consumers. Both options were made of composite materials, making them dishwasher unfriendly and difficult to recycle at the end of life. Maybe if they could provide an opportunity for you to design your eco coffee cup?

Keep Cup kickstarted leading to a major behavioural change

Keep Cup was born for the consumers to have a beautiful design made and chosen by themselves for life, but also which they could track their impact with a calculator that is available on their website.

Almost four years later, Keep Cup has kick-started a behavioural change in Melbourne that is spreading across the world. Also, it has been the beginning of a journey to reduce the consequences of convenience behaviour.

“A movement happens when people talk to one another when ideas spread within the community, and most of all when peer support leads people to do what they always knew was the right thing.”

At Our Good Brands, we loved the most about Keep Cup that you can design your eco coffee cup. The range of prices is between $11 and $36 depending on size and features. If you own a café or a business and you would like to order a larger volume you will be able to get between a 5% and a 20% discount. Not bad, huh?

KeepCup is from Australia with love, and so the brand is thoroughly committed to local manufacture.

Globally, Keep Cup has done a great job towards sustainability:
