Their bamboo tissue is free from harsh chemicals found in regular tissues and saves thousands of trees and animal habitats around the world. Start to end, bamboo uses 65% less carbon than tree tissue.
This is the positive impact of The Cheeky Panda
Their range is toilet tissue, facial tissues, kitchen towel, pocket tissues, paper napkins, baby wipes, and handy wet wipes all made from 100% natural bamboo. And, no, the type of bamboo used is not the same as that eaten by pandas; there are over a 1000 different species of bamboo, the bamboo we use to make this brand’ products isn’t the type that Pandas like to eat.
Most of The Cheeky Panda products, from toilet tissues to kitchen towels and more, are made from 100% FSC certified virgin bamboo from sustainable sources. They are free from harsh chemicals found in regular and recycles paper products. The materials are naturally sustainable resources, which has got them to earn several certifications by BCorp, the Vegan Society and Cruelty-Free International.
The Cheeky Panda was founded a couple of years ago by two environmentally conscious entrepreneurs, Chris Forbes and Julie Chen after a holiday in South East Asia. They discovered that there was a huge surplus of naturally sustainable bamboo which wasn’t being fully utilized. They decided the time was right to introduce bamboo to the UK and European tissue paper markets as a viable, skin-friendly and abundant alternative resource to wood.
The brand works alongside with the World Land Trust, which means that they’re also 100% carbon neutral. This partnership allows The Cheeky Panda to offset every stage of farming, production, and shipping, protecting trees, plants, and animals in the Vietnamese rainforests.
